The Warmth of Tradition
Built in an independent house with typical Valsesian architecture of the early 1900s using local stone and wood, probably on the foundations of a much older building, of which remain only part of the perimeter walls and cellars.
For the opening of the Bed and Breakfast, the building has been completely restored maintaining where possible the original style and materials.
The rooms have been decorated tastefully and simply. They have original larch wood floors, wooden boards obtained from the old 17th century sawmill of the village, wood paneled walls and ceilings in some rooms and frescoed in others. Vintage prints, antique and modern items conveniently located in the rooms and communal areas help create the B&B’s warm and comfortable atmosphere. Added to this is the gentle sound of the River Sorba flowing just outside the house.
Three comfortable rooms
For guests there are three spacious bedrooms furnished with period furniture and equipped with everything you need: cotton linens, warm duvets for the winter months and fresh towels.
The ground floor bedroom overlooking the river has two wrought iron beds, one double and one single and is ideal for a couple or a family of three. Upstairs you will find a double room with two single beds ideal for a couple or two friends and a second bedroom with two single beds and one bunk bed suitable for a family of four.
The two spacious, pleasantly furnished bathrooms, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor are equipped with towels and hairdryers.
Tasty Breakfasts and Fine Wines
The breakfast room overlooks the village and the garden. A wood-burning stove warms up the atmosphere on cold winter days. Here you will also find books, magazines and some games to cheer your evenings and above all a great selection of the best local wines from Gattinara and Ghemme of Lower Valsesia.
The rich breakfast includes coffee, a variety of teas and juices, bread, toast, jam, cereal, dried fruits, yogurt, local cheese, cold cuts, eggs, biscuits, cakes and fresh fruit. During the summer you can enjoy the large terrace facing the garden, where Paolo and Valentina cultivate delicious vegetables and some fruit.
There is also a storage room for sports equipment (skis, ski boots, bicycles etc).
WiFi connection is available. Unfortunately pets are not allowed and smoking in the B&B is prohibited.
